SPOKANE, Wash. — Need a new cereal bowl? Ice cream bowl? A new container for jewelry?
Buy one at Scoops and Bowls this Saturday!
All year long, members and students at Urban Art Co-op collaborate on hundreds of bowls for an annual fundraiser: Scoops and Bowls.
This Saturday, July 9, come on out to Manito Park’s picnic area (1702 S Grand Blvd) to enjoy some scoops of ice cream and buy a new bowl, crafted by the members and students at the co-op.
It’s all happening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with about 1,700 bowls to choose from — ranging from $15 to $40 per bowl.
Urban Art Co-op is a group of creative people who prefer to practice the art of pottery in community.
The Co-op is run by volunteers and is non-profit. UAC is a shared studio space for professional artists, beginners and everyone in between.
The upcoming supports the growth and improvement of the studio space on N Monroe St.
UAC hopes to build or buy a new building to be the permanent home for their community.
They would like to provide more work space for more artists, a gallery to display member work and more teaching space.
